City Breaks
City Breaks: A few days somewhere different
A few days, a different city and plenty to discover. From famous landmarks to little cafés tucked down side streets, sometimes a short escape is all you need.

A whole new city to explore
There's something wonderful about arriving somewhere new, stepping out into the streets and having an entire city waiting to be discovered.
Perhaps it's wandering through Rome with a gelato in hand, exploring the museums and markets of Barcelona, or watching the lights come on across Paris as the evening begins.
Or maybe it's somewhere you've never really considered before. Some of the most interesting city breaks happen when you look beyond the obvious destinations.
And the best bit? You don't necessarily need a week away to enjoy yourself.
More than ticking off the landmarks
Of course, there's nothing wrong with wanting to see the Colosseum, climb the Eiffel Tower or spend an afternoon at the Sagrada Família.
They're famous for a reason.
But sometimes the best parts of a city break are the things you didn't plan. A little restaurant you stumble across, an unexpected view, a market full of local produce or simply finding a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by.
A good city break should leave you with time to enjoy being there, not just a collection of photographs proving you've visited.
It's your holiday, not a race to complete the guidebook.
Two nights, three nights or a little longer?
A long weekend can be enough for a brilliant getaway, particularly when the journey is straightforward.
But there's a difference between booking three nights somewhere and actually having three days to enjoy it.
Flight times, airport transfers and your hotel's location can make a surprising difference. Arriving late on Friday and flying home early on Monday isn't quite the same as having three full days exploring.
That's why I'll consider the journey as well as the destination, helping you make the most of the time you've got.
And if you'd prefer to spend a little longer, you could explore different neighbourhoods, enjoy some day trips or simply take things at a more relaxed pace.
Finding the right place to stay
You don't always need the fanciest hotel in the city.
Sometimes a comfortable room in a brilliant location is worth far more than a luxury hotel that leaves you travelling across town every morning.
I'll help you consider where you want to spend your time, how easy it is to get around and whether your accommodation makes sense for the plans you've got.
If walking long distances, steps or public transport accessibility are important considerations, we'll factor those in too.
Because after a full day exploring, it's rather nice knowing you haven't got another expedition ahead of you just to get back to your hotel.
Where shall we go?
Whether you've got your heart set on London, New York, Rome or Barcelona, or fancy discovering somewhere a little less familiar, I can help you find a city break that suits your interests and your budget.
It might be history, architecture, shopping, food, theatre or simply spending a few days somewhere you've always wanted to visit.
Tell me which city has caught your eye, or what you enjoy doing when you're away, and we'll find somewhere worth exploring.
