Christmas in the Canaries

Sunshine, sea views and plenty going on

Fancy swapping the British winter for a little Tenerife sunshine?

Sol Tenerife puts you right in the centre of Playa de las Américas, with direct access to the beach and promenade, plenty of places to explore nearby and a lively atmosphere throughout the resort.

If you enjoy spending your days by the pool, there are three outdoor pools, including one for children. When it's time for something to eat, the hotel has a buffet restaurant, along with three bars including a pool bar and snack bar.

There's plenty happening around the hotel too, with daytime activities including aqua aerobics, tennis and family games. In the evenings, entertainment ranges from live music and shows to DJs.

And with an approximate transfer time of just 20 minutes, you won't have a particularly long journey between the airport and resort.

Right in the heart of the action

One thing worth knowing about Sol Tenerife is its location.

The hotel sits beside Veronicas Strip, one of Playa de las Américas' best-known nightlife areas, with bars and nightclubs right on the doorstep.

That's fantastic if you enjoy lively evenings and want plenty of entertainment within walking distance.

However, if you're looking for peaceful nights or a quiet family retreat, I'd recommend considering a different location. The surrounding nightlife may not suit everybody.

It's a hotel with a lot going for it, provided the atmosphere matches the holiday you're looking for.
